Are your skin care products only for
women?
Not at all. Our products are purchased from women
and men alike. We have many scents specifically formulated for
men. Our customers include many construction workers who
regularly use our shea butter to help heal their work-damaged
hands.
Do you make your own soap or
retail other companies' products?
We make all our own
products in our manufacturing facility in Ventura, CA. Our
formulations evolved from a search for natural, gentle soaps and
skin care products that would be compatible with sensitive skin.
By making our own products in small, quality-controlled batches,
we are able to offer our customers exceptionally
fresh, high-quality products.
I have
purchased natural soap in the past that either dried my skin or
fell apart. Will yours do this?
We test each batch of product to
ensure its quality. Some manufacturers use the cheapest possible
ingredients to maximize profits, but at A Soap Garden we always
choose the highest quality ingredients in order to offer you a
product that really works. Our soaps also contain extra
moisturizers. They won't dry your skin, and our soap bars will
not fall apart. Everything is satisfaction guaranteed.
Do your soaps and shea butters
have a
specific shelf life?
Our products have a shelf-life of two years, though they
haven't been sitting on our shelves. Because we manufacture on a
weekly rotating basis, the products you buy will always be
fresh.
Are any of your skin care products
available unscented?
All of our products are available unscented. We keep
unscented shea butter and our French-milled complexion bar as
well as our bath salts always in stock. We may have to
custom-make other products unscented, but they are available and
at no additional cost.
I have extremely sensitive
skin; other products have only irritated it. Will your
soaps and other products work for me?
While being effective, our products are also very good for
sensitive skin. Several customers have had problems with
products for sensitive skin and they tell us that they have not
been able to use others, but that our products work wonderfully
for them. We do suggest that you stick to unscented or lightly
scented products if you have sensitivities.
Are your products tested on
animals?
None of our products are tested on
animals, just on humans. They are all vegetable-based, natural
products free from chemicals or petroleum-based detergents and
any animal by-products.

Is this true?
Unrefined shea butter is touted in some circles as the only kind
to use so that you get the full benefits, but it not only has a
rancid odor, it is also packed full of parasites and impurities.
Our shea butter is
naturally refined through a vapor extraction process (the
impurities are removed through steam.)
Our naturally refined shea has all of the benefits of unrefined

Do you have a guarantee?
Yes, all our products are 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If
you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason,
return it within 30 days from the day you receive your order and we
will gladly issue you a full refund of your purchase. We cannot
reimburse the cost of shipping. What if I need to return a product?
All of our products are satisfaction
guaranteed. If you wish to return any product for any reason
please return your package to the return shipping address on the
label within 30 days of receipt and we will gladly refund your
purchase price. How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on any order over $45
within the contiguous 48 states. A flat fee of $5.95 applies to
any orders totaling less than $45. Please contact our office for
shipping charges abroad or to Alaska or Hawaii. What payment methods do you
accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Discover, checks and money orders
are all accepted. How long will it take
for me to receive my
order?
Generally, orders are shipped within the same week they are
received. However, some orders may take longer to fill due
to the rotational nature of our production schedule. In
order to deliver the freshest product possible, we do not keep
large quantities in inventory collecting dust, so please take
into account our general shipping terms of 2-10 days. I prefer not to give
out my credit card
number online. How else can I pay?
You can call us with your credit card number, or print out
our mail-in
order form and send it to us along with a check
